Search Marketing Manager

We're looking for a hot-shot Search Marketing Manager to lead and optimise some of our key digital acquisition channels across paid and organic search. Reporting into the Customer Acquisition Manager you'll also contribute to overall digital marketing efforts with a focus on maximising biddable campaign performance to exceed sales goals. We've got some ambitious growth plans and our performance channels are absolutely critical to our success, so we're looking for a super smart A-player with bags of passion who'll play a pivotal role in taking us to the next level!

Some of what the job involves:

Paid Search

  • Own the PPC budget and roadmap, always scoping/testing new features and procuring tools required for optimising and scaling.
  • Plan and manage paid activity across Google and Bing, including our shopping feed, to hit sales and ROI targets for this key channel.
  • Hands-on day-to-day PPC management, including managing bids, budgets, and creative/landing page testing.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting, providing insight into performance across time and categories, and opportunities for scale and efficiency.

Search Engine Optimisation

  • Track and report on performance against key SEO metrics include rankings and traffic, link profile and crawl stats.
  • Understand drivers of search engine performance of the Loaf.com website and provide recommendations to improve.
  • Liaise with web and creative teams to ensure that website is search-friendly and drive technical SEO optimisations.

Strategy, Reporting & Analysis

  • Contribute towards yearly marketing budgets, KPIs and sales forecasts, helping define the best ways to track performance against targets.
  • Manage optimum tracking and attribution set-up, understanding the role of search as part of a complex customer journey.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and drive new initiatives, guiding channel-level strategy and identifying opportunities for growth.

To set you up for success, we're looking for the following:

  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on paid search and shopping campaign management experience, preferably in a fast-growing environment, e-commerce experience a plus.
  • Deep proficiency in Google Ads.
  • Enthusiastic about digital trends and feature testing.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and affinity for data interpretation.
  • Excel and Google Analytics expertise, including GA4.
  • Methodical and data-driven approach to testing and optimisation.
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience managing either paid social or display campaigns
  • Experience managing digital campaigns for a multi-touchpoint, multi-channel retailer
  • Experience with Google Ads scripts and bid management tools
  • An understanding of attribution modelling and the challenges and opportunities presented by long customer purchase journeys
  • A dab hand at the art of effective copywriting
